Prayers Straight From His Word

As I was reading the Bible, I found some scriptures that I want to pray about for myself and others and wrote them out as prayers to pray everyday. You may want to pray these in your life as well as they are straight from the Bible and inline with God's Word:

Praying For Myself to Grow in God

Philippians 2:14-18

Help me to do everything without complaining and arguing so that no one can criticize me. Help me to live a clean innocent life as a child of God, shining like bright a light in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Remind me that my faithful service is an offering to You.

Philippians 4:8 NLT

Lord, help me to fix my thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. Help me to think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Philippians 3:12-20 NLT

Beautiful Spirit, help me to hold on to the progress I have already made. Because of You, I will pattern my life after Christ. Because of You, I will forget the past and look forward to what lies ahead. Help me to press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which You, through Christ, is calling me.

Philippians 4:4-7 NLT

Holy Spirit, help me to keep putting into practice all that I have learned. Because of You I am always full of joy in the Lord. I always rejoice! Help me to be considerate in all that I do and to let everyone see it.

Guide me to not worry about anything and remind me to pray about everything.

Praying For Other People

Colossians 1:9-12 NLT

Lord, help me to not stop praying for the people You have placed in my life and for those I have yet to meet. I ask You to give them complete knowledge of Your will and to give them spiritual wisdom and understanding. So the way they live will always honor and please You and their lives will produce every of kind of good fruit. All the while, they will grow as they learn to know you better and better!

I also pray that they will be strengthened with all Your glorious power so they will have all the endurance and patience they need. May they be filled with joy, always thanking You.
